Job Title: Retail Head Chef – Contract Catering
Location: Marylebone, London
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to manage a busy catering operation, providing high-quality meals for up to 1,500 customers per day. The successful candidate will be based in Marylebone, London and will have a proven track record in contract catering and managing large teams of kitchen staff.
- Manage and lead a team of 25 kitchen staff, ensuring that they are motivated, trained, and performing to the highest standards.
- Develop menus that are innovative, cost-effective, and meet the needs of the business and customers.
- Order and manage stock levels, ensuring that food is delivered on time and that food wastage is minimised.
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards, ensuring that the kitchen complies with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that catering operations run smoothly and that customer satisfaction levels are high.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Head Chef role, ideally within a contract catering environment.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and delicious menus.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing teams of at least 15 kitchen staff.
- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
