Job Title: Team Canteen Chef & Manager

Location: London Embankment 

Our Client is a prestigious members’ club situated in Central London, dedicated to providing exceptional service and experiences to its members. As part of our commitment to enhancing the well-being and satisfaction of our team, we are excited to announce a newly created role within our culinary team – Team Canteen Chef & Manager.

Job Overview: As the Team Canteen Chef & Manager., you will work closely with the Head Chef and Director of Food to plan and deliver delicious, nutritious, and satisfying team meals at our dedicated team dining area. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the service of team meals and uphold high standards of health and safety practices within team dining area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the team food offering and service within the club.
  • Collaborate with senior management to deliver exceptional service to team members.
  • Assist in menu planning and creation of dish specifications for team dining area.
  • Plan and order food items for the weekly retreat menu.
  • Prepare food in advance for lunch and dinner at team dining area, Monday to Friday.
  • Ensure food readiness for weekend meals by preparing plates on Fridays.
  • Serve food during designated meal times, maintaining team well-being.
  • Coordinate themed days and decorate the team dining area accordingly.
  • Liaise with management and HR on team feedback and take necessary actions.
  • Promote a culture of well-being and elevate the profile of team dining experiences.
  • Maintain professionalism and camaraderie with fellow team members.
  • Contribute to the future development of Team dining area..
  • Report issues to management and assist in resolving complaints promptly.
  • Ensure consistent high-quality standards for team meals.
  • Adhere to food hygiene, health, safety, and fire procedures.
  • Train kitchen staff on equipment operation and safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen area.
  • Support in achieving and maintaining food and operational cost targets.
  • Foster morale and encourage team commitment and performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team well-being and satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends as needed.
